L'intrus/The interloper

Viking n'°2 me donne la liste de ses invités (je vous parlerai de la fête d'anniversaire).

- Il y a Vincent, Clément, Lilian et Paul.

- Et Paul, il ne se sent pas de trop ?

- Tu dis ça parce qu'il est métis ?

Je ne les ai jamais vus, et surtout, ce n'est pas un critère, dans mon univers. Je lui fait donc répéter sa liste pour qu'il entende l’assonance. Depuis, dans les oreilles de Viking n°2, son copain Paul est exceptionnel.


Viking n°2 is listing his guests (I will tell about birthday party).

- There's Vincent, Clement, Lilian and Paul (it's better with real french accent).

- And Paul doesn't feel out of place?

- You say that because he's mixed-race?

I've never seen them, and moreover I don't notice this kind of thing. I make him repeat his list for him to hear the assnonance (these first names really sound the same in french). Now, in Viking n°2's ears, his friend Paul is remarkable.
